There's Levels To This!
Journey thru each.. You never know what you'll find.
Yo what’s good?
Dirty Clean
My house has these laminate wood floor and there are certain times when it just gets slippery as hell. It’s scary because my wife is pregnant and I was worried she might slip and fall. One night I almost completely ate it but the location of the slip is in such a weird spot you wouldn’t expect. I couldn’t take it anymore and I steam-mopped that spot for about 30 minutes straight. Layers and layers. What do you know? It worked!
Still confused though because the house wasn’t dirty per se but there must have definitely been some type of build up. As I continued around the house getting under the kitchen table I see a bunch of crumbs. Lazy I know. I usually do a clean sweep first followed by the mop but that slippery spot got me feeling some type of way. So which layer would you rather clean? My thought was what if I just mopped the entire house first and push the crumbs and once the floor was dry you can just come and clean up the rest with ease. It’s the same concept right? Either or the floor will be cleaned in the end.
Once I got done cleaning the floor my son was waiting for me to join him on his regular POV rides of Disneyland.
Comeback Stronger
The fam and I did not renew our annual passes for Disneyland. Sad I know. Don’t worry tho. I have prepped the ultimate plan for the comeback. My sons favorite ride is Webslingers at DCA. If you haven’t rode it be prepared, it’s a workout. Since we won’t be going for awhile I plan to just ride it over and over until we finally go again. There is a secret sauce to the game. You gotta shoot up and down and stay within your quadrant of the screen. Just gotta find the best video on YouTube now and see which would be the easiest seat for him to sit in. Once I find the targets with the most points in the easiest seat I wanna train him to shoot for that only. Quick little theory to see if it works lol. Also I get to come back buff af from these POVs. Webslingers and rollercoasters. RIP.
Masters of The Universe
Coding has been pretty good this week. Fixed up my portfolio website a bit, coded a game for my son. It’s a 2D side scrolling type of game like Mario. He was so excited to try the little demo. One night we were pillow talking and I asked him what would he like to do if he had a chance to a code a game. He started blabbering for 20 minutes with all the craziness he would do. He took a quick second to pause and said “wait, do you have enough space on your pc?” LOL. He was being considerate. Wild. Can’t wait to embark and go deeper on this coding journey. Trust there will be more deeper dives.
Also want to keep making these games even if they’re replicas of classics because I can say I coded that. If his friends asked him who made that game he can say, “My Dad.”
Also I’ll be taking a month off from work so I’ll have more time to get some good learning done. There’s a bunch of vacation videos I have yet to edit but I’m gonna see if my son has any interest. I know he’s more than capable to edit our vacation videos. Brought a tear to my eye because one day I played Linkin Park in the car and he said “IS THIS FROM DISNEYLAND?”
Alignment
Actually I do need an alignment on the car. I paid for the service and get the car back in worse condition. Terrible.
But aligning with your goals and visions. Never veer away. Hold The Vision, Trust The Process. More about that in the weakly dosage wrap up. Whatever you believe in you got to represent. Don’t shy away. The more you tell yourself and go deep within the sub-conscious amazing things will happen. One night journaling I put on a mantra about achieving your dreams. As I wrote the video spoke the wrote I just written down. It was kind of spooky. Same with this random newsletter I joined. I didn’t think it would bring much relatable content because the niche was different from what I was pursuing. Yet every time I opened the newsletter the bullet points were words I had in my journal already. Goosebumps. I know.
Weakly Wrap Up
Manifest by Roxie Nafousi — Audiobook was amazing. Now I must search Barnes to see if they have the hardcopy. I’ve listened to plenty of books but this one felt completely different.
“TO MANIFEST CHANGE, WE MUST FIRST CREATE CHANGE. WE MUST DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT, WE MUST CHALLENGE OUR FEARS AND DOUBTS, WE MUST ACT AS OUR FUTURE SELF WOULD ACT, AND WE MUST SHOW THE UNIVERSE HOW READY AND WILLING WE ARE TO STEP INTO OUR POWER.”
― Roxie Nafousi, Manifest: 7 Steps to Living Your Best LifeA lot can change in a short amount of time — Set goals, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months to year. Slowly but surely and enjoy the journey.
Embrace the challenges you get in life because imagine if you quit every time something hard came along. Take over the situation and own it, make it your super power.
Enjoy your leftovers — It’s a reminder, even if they are the last bits of delicious food you had, enjoy it.
PEACE!
